Decorated in a traditional early or late Victorian style, this room features bright bold mauve color thus creating a warm soothing atmosphere. There is a gas fireplace in the room. It has a king sized half canopy bed and a tub-shower combination bathroom.
Lady Bird Johnson Room
A popular room in the house, this room is a favorite of former First Lady "Lady Bird" Johnson. It features a king sized Queen Rice four poster bed, a gas fireplace and a small sitting area. The private bathroom features an antique claw-foot tub for relaxing.
Garden Gable Suite
The Garden Gable Suite features a queen sized bed and views overlooking the Victorian style gardens. The unique bathroom has two claw-foot tubs with a stained-glass skylight. A favorite for honeymoons, romantic getaways and anniversaries or other special occassions. This room has access to the balcony.
Grand Gable Suite
This room is larger than our regular rooms due to the addition of a sitting area attached to the bedroom. It's a warm room done in a subtle Victorian decor. The private bathroom features a glass-enclosed shower and full height antique stained-glass window. It has access to the balcony overlooking the Victorian style gardens. The Grand Gable room also has access to the balcony overlooking the Victorian style gardens.
Spinning Room
Original formal parlour of the house features a queen sized half teaster bed room suite with a glass enclosed shower in the bathroom. The room also has a gas burning fireplace and a yarn spinning wheel. This room can also be rented with the adjoining secondary parlour to make a two bedroom suite.
Rustic Keeping Room
Rustic Keeping Room is decorated as a one room home might have been in the mid 1800s. It features a California King sized sleigh bed, a wood burning fireplace, a claw-foot bathtub in the room and an indoor "outhouse." In the "Sunday House" it has a little extra privacy and it's own porches.
