At the time Duke Ellington dubbed the house The Crown of Sugar Hill, jazzs aristocracy lived on the elegant blocks surrounding the Mansions park. The B and B shares townhouse with Jumel Terrace Books, an antiquarian bookshop specializing Harlem Heights local history from the Revolution through Harlems Renaissance to its world renown as the Black Capital of the World. Check-in is at 3 00 PM. Guests planning to arrive before or after this time must contact the property at least 48 hours prior to arrival to receive special check-in instructions.
