Built in 1900, the Amsterdam American Hotel is a listed art nouveau monument, and some architectural features can be traced back in the famous Cafe Americain and guest rooms. Following stunning renovation of the Café Américain and a total of 101 bedrooms the next stage will involve the renovation of the façade of the hotel. The Amsterdam American Hotel offers 175 smoking and non-smoking Standard rooms, Deluxe rooms and Junior Suites. The hotel is an important example of architectural art nouveau and has been a listed building since 1972. Its outer graciousness extends to the guest rooms, which still feature original stained-glass windows and vanities lined with an elegant granite surface. Most hotel guest rooms were renovated in the winter of 2007. Starting from January 2008, we will only have non smoking rooms. The guest room is a key component of the hotel lodging or vacation experience, affording the traveller privacy and a comfortable night's rest.
