Castello Chiola - set in an impressive - stately castle dating from 887 enjoys a fantastic location on top of a hill - around which nestles the medieval village of Loreto Aprutino. Having recently undergone a complete renovation - the castle has been transformed into a magnificent - elegant hotel which retains much of the history of the building. The impressive entrance is decorated with ancient guns and swords fixed to the walls and opens onto a bright - spacious courtyard. On one side of the courtyard there is a panoramic elevator which takes guests to the upper 3 floors - each decorated with antique paintings and furniture - and this is where the rooms and suites can be found. All rooms have lovely views of the countryside and are elegantly and individually decorated and furnished. Not forgetting the comfort of guests - the rooms are also equipped with the modern technology you would expect. The hotel restaurant - Il Celliere - is set in the former stables of the castle and has a wonderfully historical atmosphere - some of the old pieces of furniture displayed here were found during the last renovation of the castle. Here guests can enjoy traditional and Mediterranean cuisine at its best - perhaps before retiring to the soft and cozy atmosphere of the bar - a perfect place to relax. For large parties and events there is a separate ballroom and dining hall decorated in classic style with green and white marble floors and cream and white painted walls. For business visitors - Castello Chiola offers 3 meeting rooms - one a former amphitheatre and another decorated with original paintings by Tommaso and Basile Cascella. The outdoor swimming pool is a perfect spot for a dip - for sunbathing or even for a party.
